Are you a big Star Trek: Strange New Worlds fan or even just SNW curious but don’t currently have a Paramount+ subscription? If so, I’ve got good news for you: The entire first season of Strange New Worlds is now available to legally watch FOR FREE (albeit with some commercials) on the streaming network’s YouTube channel.
The move is a bold one from Paramount+, and is most likely done to get more folks on-board/excited about the upcoming second season, which premieres on the streamer on June 15, 2023. The Discovery spin-off, which is also a prequel to The Orignal Series, focuses on Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) as he serves on the U.S.S. Enterprise before a certain James T. Kirk takes over command. The first season was well-received by critics and fans, and you can now judge for yourself how effing great the series is by moseying over to their YouTube channel (or, for the first episode, just watching the video at the top of this post).
In addition to Mount, Strange New Worlds features a stellar cast that includes Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley, Ethan Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’An Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Joseph M’Benga. Season two features the return of Paul Wesley as James T. Kirk and also has Carol Kane in a recurring role as the Enterprise’s new engineer, Pelia.
Season two of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premieres on Paramount+ on June 15, 2023, with subsequent episodes dropping weekly.
